Color Of Change mourns the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Color Of Change, the nation’s largest online racial justice organization, issued the following statement from President Rashad Robinson following the passing of civil rights champion Ruth Bader Ginsburg

“Ruth Bader Ginsburg has defined generations of progress towards freedom and equality in our country. She was a powerful example of a racial justice accomplice, using her power to protect every American under the law. Her decisions as the second-ever female justice advanced civil rights, women’s and LGBTQ equality making our country a place where more people get to be heard, counted, visible and protected. She also understood that corporations don’t deserve the same rights as people and stood as a powerful protector of the American public against corporate greed and exploitation through out her term. As legal protections for women, the LGBTQ community, immigrants, Black people and other communities of color are threatened by our current president, she will be deeply missed as a high-level protector of liberty and justice for all.”
