It’s Never Too Late to Give, Even After Setting Record
By Color Of Change Staff
We did it!
Color Of Change members responded in a big way to the request for donations on Giving Tuesday, which happens each year the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
More than 2,000 donors made gifts to Color Of Change for Giving Tuesday resulting in our largest total gift amount during a single day for COC this fiscal year!
We saw strong engagement through our social media channels and traffic to our website where supporters can easily donate. In fact, actress Tracee Ellis Ross gave a shout out to Color Of Change on social media on Giving Tuesday, elevating the important work and mission of Color Of Change and our 7 million members to create a more human and less hostile world for Black people.
“Today, Color Of Change is growing stronger and more successful than ever because of you and our incredible family of members, supporters and volunteers,” said Drew Daniels, senior director of the Digital Team at Color Of Change.
“Our donors are the backbone of this organization,” Daniels said. “And we are so grateful for their consistent dedication and support. There are serious challenges to come and many battles left to wage — and we cannot let up. It’s crucial we meet our fundraising goal this year end.”
Many new donors joined the movement this year, adding their gifts to those of thousands of sustaining members who give monthly to strengthen the work and extend the reach of Color Of Change.
As you know, Color Of Change accepts no corporate donations. We depend on gifts from supporters like you to carry out our campaigns and programming.
It’s not too late to give. If you believe in and share our vision for a more just America, consider an end-of-the year gift of any amount. It will help that vision become a reality.
