ColorOfChange.org Responds to OH Parole Board’s Vote to Deny Clemency to Kelley Williams-Bolar

The following is a statement from Rashad Robinson, executive director of ColorOfChange.org, regarding the Ohio Parole Board’s vote recommending that Gov. John Kasich deny clemency to Kelley Williams-Bolar:

“The ColorOfChange.org community was deeply moved by the story of Kelley Williams-Bolar. Many parents all around the country would act just as she did if it meant a safe, secure experience for their children and peace of mind with regard to their education. The parole board’s lack of empathy is astounding, and now the decision rests fully with Gov. Kasich. More than 70,000 ColorOfChange.org members signed a petition demanding justice in this case. In the upcoming days, we will ensure that the governor hears their voices again as he makes his decision.”
