“Our community is deeply concerned over Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted’s last-minute directive on ballot requirements and the potential disenfranchisement it could cause. This directive continues Secretary of State Husted’s months-long, politically motivated attempt to block voters in Ohio, especially Black, low-income and elderly Ohioans from voting.

“With the errors from absentee ballot applications, online address changes, and other problems on Election Day, up to 300,000 Ohioans might have to cast provisional ballots. The margin of victory in Ohio could be less than 200,000 votes. It would be unconscionable for this election to be decided by partisan gamesmanship.

“ColorOfChange’s 800,000 members will are mobilized to stand up and support the rights of every Ohioan to cast a ballot without jumping through red tape. ”
